Tech Inspection
1. Minor infractions are considered to be: no gloves, no neck brace, no
chain guard, body work infraction, loss of lead weight, rough driving, jumping
the start, arguing with others, failure to slow down after checkered flag, and
other variances that do not provide an advantage over the competition. These
infractions may result in the loss of win and track points.
2. Major infractions are considered to be ANY act committed on purpose for an
advantage gain over their competitors that is not allowed by the rules. These
infractions include: tampering with ANY part of the carburetor, head, block,
cam, wrong rod, wrong piston, wrong head gasket, wrong fuel, and arguing with
track officials. These infractions will result in the following penalties:
a. For first time offenders: loss of points/win.
b. For second time offenders: a two-week suspension will be levied. All kart
tracks that are known to race by these rules will be notified to insure that the
suspension is enforced.
c. For three time offenders: Racer and kart will be banned from competition for
the remainder of the year.
3. All karts will be visually inspected by track personnel.
4. Track personnel will perform all tech inspections. All determination made by
the track personnel are final.
5. The tech inspection of the engine will be performed by track appointed
personnel.
6. The tech inspector may tear down the engines as far as they deem necessary.
7. If YOU have any question regarding the legality of your motor, it is YOUR
responsibility to have it checked.
8. Karts may be weighed at any time. Each track may use it’s own method of
weighing the kart.
9. Fuel must be unleaded gas only. NO ALCOHOL or fuel additives will be
permitted. This will be enforced by whatever method the track deems necessary.
Such as: Pump around, hydrometers, etc. and may be checked at any time. If you
do not know whether or not your fuel is legal, then it is UP TO YOU to have it
tested at the track. If the fuel is tested and determined to be illegal, then
you will be disqualified and action taken according to the steps outlined in
“Tech Inspection, Rule #2” above.
10. If any part of your kart has been determined to be illegal or unsafe, you
will be asked to fix it prior to racing. If the infraction is determined to be
minor, then it has to be fixed BEFORE the next race. If it’s determined on
Friday evening, then it has to be fixed before racing on Saturday, etc.
11. The schedule and frequency of tech inspections is up to track personnel, and
any kart can be inspected at any time.
12. If it has been determined that any part of the kart or engine is illegal,
then you will be disqualified for the remainder of the event.
13. All tech procedures will use the Tracks tech tools.
14. Any driver that is called for rough driving, as determined by the flag man,
will be warned ONE time. Second warnings will result in a two-week suspension.
If the rough driving continues, the driver will be banned for the remainder of
the season.
15. Everyone is required to go thru the tech inspection process as determined by
the track. If an individual has good reason for not doing so (i.e.: family
emergency, etc) then they may be excused from the teching process that evening,
but must be teched before being permitted to race at that track the next time.
ANYONE that refuses to go thru the tech inspection process, without good reason,
will be suspended from that track for the remainder of the racing season.
16. The Track is NOT responsible for replacing gaskets during the tech
inspection process.

with track personnel regarding scoring or judgment calls will not be tolerated.
Any confrontation with Track Personnel or other parents will result in a minimum
